The Sparkill History Project group was honored and encouraged by the presentation of The Achievement Award from the Tappantown Historical Society on February 24, 2012.  Presented at the 1776 House in Tappan, the gala dinner reception also honored the restoration of Giulio's Restaurant and Mary Cardina and Paul Clark's History of Orangetown publication. 

The Sparkill History Project group was recognized for outstanding contributions in advancing the goals of the Tappantown Historical Society for the Sparkill History Day event on July 23, 2011.  Larry Vail received the achievement award and thanked all those who's efforts contributed to the success of the History Day project. Jamie Kempton, Ed Kopf and Dan Sherman joined Larry Vail for the reception of the honor.
